Starting the 24th of March, Edel Assanti in London is presenting nine established and emerging photographers from Latin America. Curated by Sue Steward, Between Two Worlds: A window on Contemporary Photography in Latin America, explores the region’s culture and it’s everyday life between reality and fantasy. From rural Argentina to every day Mexico, from the industrial Monterry to a youthful Lima, the nine selected artists will take you on an emotionally charged journey through Southern and Central America. Spread over the gallery’s two floors, the show introduces the viewer to the artistic innovation developing throughout this culturally rich region as well as giving a wonderful insight on different photographic approaches.
