” The Sculpture Park Waldfrieden is located on a wooded slope between the center of Wuppertal in Elberfeld and the district of Barmen. With a fine collection of mature deciduous trees, it extends more than 14 hectares around the Villa Waldfrieden which the paint manufacturer Kurt Herberts commissioned to be built between 1947 and 1950. In 2006 Tony Cragg acquired the entire property in order to create an exhibition area for sculptural works. Besides Tony Cragg, the permanent Exhibition also includes works from Erwin Wurm, Thomas Virnich, William Tucker, Hede Bühl, Thomas Schütte, Jaume Plensa, Markus Lüppertz, Henry Moore, Richard Deacon, Bogomir Ecker, Eva Hild, Hubert Kiecol, Tatsuo Miyajima and Jonathan Monk” – Source: Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden
