Who are you? What do you do?

I am a designer/illustrator based in Cologne, Germany.

Where are you from?

Cologne, Germany

Your style in 3 words?

Intuitive, reduced, inherent

Your weakness? Your strength?

Perseverance – Good humour

What makes you different?

I never stopped trying to be myself.

When did you decide to become a designer/illustrator?

Through the experience I gained in an internship in a Cologne based design agency and my vocational diploma specializing in media design, I decided to study Integrated Design at KISD (Köln International School of Design) in Cologne and graphic design at UFPR (Universidade Federal do Paraná) in Curitiba, Brazil. Ever since illustrating has been something personal – a passion – not a profession. However, at the point where you are being hired for your hobby, it is about time to accept that you developed it into your profession.

What do you find most fascinating about the creative process/your work?

Finding the odd in the obvious.

A few words about your favourite creation?

One of my favourite creations is a sketch from my travel to Hong Kong. It shows a woman with an extremely authentic chilled facial expression which I always enjoy looking at.

Someone else’s work that inspired or inspires you…

Here I would like to name the work of my Taiwanese friend Lulu. Her playful and at the same time poetic style inspires me a lot.

A new project coming up or an idea you want to work on?

My plan is to start working on larger canvases.

Finish the sentence “More important than my career…

…is to stay funky

2018: Where are we going?

At least I will try to go to Brazil in the end of this year.

When the going gets tough…

Don’t bother too much.

Your city’s favourite place?

My city´s favourite places are probably the weekly flea markets. There I am able to stumble over great products, graphic works and a potpourri of interesting people by strolling around.

Do you have a vision?

My vision is to live a comfortable life of creative work, even better if it includes design and illustration.

What would you do if you could change the World?

I will think about that when it is about time.

Tell us about your future plans…

Spreading my work around the world!

Last but not least: what is your favourite Song?
