Where are you from?

Grew up in the forest, and live and work in Leipzig, Germany, at the moment.

Your style in 3 words?

Intuition, analysis, reaction – or the other way round.

Your weakness? Your strength?

My strengths are my weaknesses.

What makes you different?

With our differences, we are all the same in the end.

When did you decide to become an artist?

I was such a drawing and painting kid and stayed on it.

Do you choose your art form, or does the form choose you?

These do not contradict each other. It is both, and when it fits, it is true. If not, it means to keep working.

What do you find most fascinating about the creative process?

When I get into the flow of work and eyes, hands and brain
interact as if by themselves and when dialogue between me and the painting develops from this.

A few words about your favourite creation?

I haven’t, as my perspective on my work changes
But regardless of this: Cats – are great!

What surprised you most about your first art shows?

That visitors see completely different things in my work than I do.

Someone else’s work that inspired or inspires you…

Honestly, I don’t have any real heroes, I get my inspirations from here and there and everywhere.

Who would you like to work with someday and why?

I would like to spend some time on a marine biology expedition ship. What’s going on there in the underwater world is so fascinating and probably won’t be there for long.

A new project coming up or an idea you want to work on?

Doing art in architecture and in public spaces and getting out of my studio and the art bubble now and then.
Doing a fashion collab would be nice too.

Finish the sentence „More important than my career is…“

Friends and family.

2022: Where are we going?

Into a long cold winter, I guess.

Do you think about time as an artist?

Yes, I need structure.

When the going gets tough…

Do one thing at a time.

Put on your future vision glasses: What direction is our generation moving in, and what will our world look like in 50 years?

Uh, the future doesn’t look bright. We repeat our mistakes over and over again.

What would you do if you could change the World?

Invest in education.

What does freedom mean when it comes to art?

It means to work on things without knowing when, why, how and if they will become relevant for others. When you’re done, your work takes on a life of its own.

If the universe is everything and it’s expanding, what is it expanding into?

Into a bigger universe.
