What makes you different?

I’m not different

When did you decide to become an artist?

My granddad suggested it when I was a toddler and it kind of stuck. It has always been there for me in some way.

What do you find most fascinating about your work?

The silence and peace of mind I get once I’m able to focus on work. Also being constantly able to form ideas in my mind and give them shape.

A few words about your favourite creation?

I really enjoyed my recent project, Seven Wives, which had an interesting balance between sculpture, installation and performance – all of which are mediums that I’m exploring.

Someone else’s work that inspired or inspires you…

Many, at the moment I’m thinking about Bernini’s work a lot. I’m also a big fan of Frederico Campanga’s book, Technic and Magic.

Who would you like to work with someday and why?

I would love Habda Rashid to curate a solo show of my work. I had really inspiring talks with her and feel that she would push my practice forward.

A new project coming up or an idea you want to work on?

I have a solo show at Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, Israel and a solo show with ADA project in Rome coming up in spring which I’m hugely excited about.

Finish the sentence „More important than my career is…“

My son.

2021: Where are we going?

I’m not sure yet, it’s seems that towards eruption.

When the going gets tough…

I go to the studio.

Put on your future vision glasses: What direction is our generation moving in, what will our world look like in 50 years?

A desert land with a combination ancient/futuristic civilisations.

What would you do if you could change the World?

I would strongly recommend some form of counselling to most people.

If the universe is everything and it’s expanding, what is it expanding into?

I’m not sure, my only association is a black hole sucking everything into a void with rainbow colours.
