This article is about one of the craziest collectors. We passed by his space in Copenhagen last week. Bobby ågren has a massive collection of 70ies 80ies 90ies toys in the heart of Copenhagen. You can visit his space as a sort of toy museum or you can go there and ask him to cut your hair. Because that’s actually how Bobby lives. Together with her girlfriend, they opened a shop calledRuben & Bobby, in Jægersborggade where you can find very rare toys and video game. Recently he gained the attention of medias because his collection is quite special and well assorted.
Few things can get the nostalgia going quite as acutely as the toys that saw us through our childhood; doodle aid spirographs, vending machine-birthed bouncy rubber balls and actual pocket-sized Polly Pockets. So one can only imagine how walking into Ruben & Bobby might feel like a nostalgia hurricane. From Biker Mice from Mars figurines to the 8-bit Nintendo Entertain System (NES) and a massive array of game cartridges, Ruben & Bobby in Copenhagen, is chock full of retro gems that reignite memories long forgotten.
Anyone can pop by Bobby’s and trade a toy for a haircut, exchange toys or buy something from his collection. Beat the high score on his NES and you will even land a 20% discount on your haircut.
