Who are you? What do you do?
I am an artist/researcher. Developing work across a range of disciplines, I explore the systematic treatment of image and how the ordinary of the everyday creates our experience of knowledge. The categories we have created are exploding rapidly and call for restructuring of previously conceived systems.
Where are you from?
I was born in Nuremberg, Germany and I am currently based in London and Berlin.

When did you decide to become an artist?
When I realised how art is capable of integrating any category and transforming it.
What do you find most fascinating about the creative process?
The process itself.
A few words about your favourite creation?
I don’t have a favourite creation as such. Everything is connected with everything.
Someone else’s work that inspired or inspires you…
I recently had the opportunity to work with Otobong Nkanga during Documenta14 and was deeply inspired by the endless layers of knowledge that go into her work. She’s amazing!

Tell us about your future plans…
I’m very much looking forward to an artist residency with Spazju Kreattiv Malta as part of the official programme of Valetta 2018 European Capital of Culture. I’ll be leading a workshop within the residency programme and am currently working on a series of interactive events for 2018. Stay tuned!

I love music so it’s hard to pick a favourite. Right now, I’m listening to Air All I Need.
