With the beginning of this week, we are proud to introduce a new category on Indechs, “Sunday Reads”. Sunday Reads will bring you inspirations and ideas, visually and in form of short reviews on books that we, and our co-authors came across and find worth spreading. Corresponding with our last Theme Week and Interview we began this new project yesterday with introducing “Privatzugang“,published by Distanz Verlag in 2011.
The book features private collections from across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It has proven to be a very useful guide through the vast landscape of art collectors across these three countries, unraveling hidden treasures of modern and contemporary art collections in often quite remote locations as well as intriguing stories behind the collection as well as the collectors. All of the 60 chosen collections are open to the public and well worth a visit!
Furthermore, Lavinia Neff will tell us everything about William S. Borough retrospective at Sammlung Falckenberg in Hamburg-Harburg and Alex Reed will guide us through sunny LA Venice. That’s enough of the spoiling, just follow Indechs throughout next week to be informed by Maria Martinelli on highlights from Paris, read insights from Berlins vibrant art scene delivered by Marie Christine Molitor and read all about Frankfurts cultural offerings reported by Sophie von Maltzahn Moreover, as usual Katharina Khadjavi will share her views on Asian and African Art, Theodore Dumler will surprise us from yet another location and our newest addition to the team, Maria Antonella Schmidt will share news from Munich.
