Found was opened by Sir Nicholas Serota, Director of Tate on May 17th and will be ongoing until May 22nd at The Brompton Garage, 1 North Terrace, London SW3 2BA.
A one-off sale of artworks, found objects, textiles, furniture and crafts to raise funds for the new education wing of Kettle’s Yard House and Gallery in Cambridge, the country’s finest collection of 20th century art in a domestic setting.
Artists, designers, photographers, ceramicists, textile designers, gallerists and collectors have all donated pieces to sell, from their studios and collections, many of which have never been exhibited before. All work is on sale from £1 to £2,000 for six days only.
The star-studded program of Found includes a number of artistic and literary events. Some have passed but it’s not to late... Upcoming Events> Friday 20 May, 6.30-8.30pm: The Faber Academy Poetry Evening – Daljit Nagra and Jo Shapcott, winner of Costa’s Book of the Year award, host poetry readings with writers from The Faber Academy/ Saturday 21 May, 12.00-6.00pm: Artist-in-Residence Shane Waltener holds workshops throughout the day, making baskets with hedgerow materials

The Brompton Garage is part of the Brompton Design District programme. The Brompton Design District was initiated by South Kensington Estates and local partners to increase the presence of art and design in an area of London known for its historical links to education and culture since the founding of the Victoria and Albert Museum in 1851.
