Halea Isabelle Kala is a Berlin-based artist and facilitator. Driven by her curiosity and high levels of energy, she aims to create alternative ways of seeing and feeling by taking a trans-disciplinary approach to exploring the self and its environment. Working with a range of materials and media – from photography and moving image to illustration and collage, – she delves into the fabric of a colourful sphere of self-expression.

The end draws near. The downfall of the euro, the collapse of the EU, the entire global economy and probably also the end of Western civilisation are imminent. And have been for so long that “imminent” is barely the right word. As enthusiastic about end time scenarios as ever, the magazine Spiegel presented the inevitable downfall during the last year with melting, cracking or shattering euro coins on no less than six of its covers. For the second time, the magazine used Photoshop to ruin the already ruinous Acropolis, thereby underscoring the destruction of civilisation.

We went to Unreasonable, the solo exhibition of Florence Cantié-Kramer at Galerie Rabouan Moussion, Paris. In the exhibition space several materials are in constant opposition and respond in an ongoing dialogue, highlighting in turn their fragility or their density. It is a work of great sensuality, which collide with the sacred and the profane. Materials overlap without losing their raw character.
