The exhibition “A Journey of Belonging” is part of a funding program that allows artists, who came to Germany as a result of crises and wars, to pursue their artistic work and present the results to a wider audience. Over a period of four weeks, 15 artists move to their studio in Bikini Berlin and take part in the mentoring program with Norbert Bisky, Rebecca Raue, Nasan Tur, Malte Bartsch, Alexandra von Stosch, c/o Berlin, Berlinische Galerie, eigen + Art Lab, Jarmuschek + Partner and other artists and institutions.
Participating artists are Marwa Abou Hatab, Mohanad Adwan, Khaled al Boushi, Fadi al Hamwi, Hiba Alansari, Akel Amer, Jeanno Gaussi, Mohamad Halbouni, Fadi Jabour, Keith King, Abdulkerim Majdal Albeik, Sara Nabil, Anahita Razmi, Yaser Safi and Tamim Sibai.
Contemporary Arts Alliance Berlin is a platform for private engagement to promote contemporary art and culture in Berlin as well as young up-and-coming artists. The exhibition project takes place in the Positions Art Gallery on the first floor of Bikini Berlin and can be visited until 30.12.2017. It’s worth a visit!
